My warm up was a half mile jog with Ali in the Little Leprechaun run. Abe and Bre ran too. They were more excited about the free toy afterwards than the actual running.

In the 5K, I started out conservatively in 4th place and gradually picked up the pace as I warmed up. Ended up pushing myself moderately hard for the second half of the race, but it didn't feel like too much exertion. Apparently it was because I was in pretty severe bodily pain all day after the race. Bad headache, fatigue, weakness, brain fog, irritability, ect. Took a 2-hour nap later that afternoon. Really, I need a 2 hour nap after running a 5K? Come to think of it, this is how I felt after all five workouts I did to prepare for this race. I either need to workout less intensely and more consistenly or nix the workouts and the racing altogether. I think I'm going to see my Dr. again too.

Good race, Nan. Maybe you've got what Julie Esplin's got.

Thanks Burt. I most definitely do not have what Julie has, but thanks for directing me to her blog. I've never had an IUD and after reading her blog I'm even more convinced I will never get one. Can never be too careful with my woman parts and hormones.
