12 miles in 7:41 pace

Beautiful early Saturday run on the Big Dry Creek trail.  Saw a coyote and many bunnies.  Legs felt pretty good after about 5 miles.  I love it when I get into a rhythm and it feels the same to go 7:30 pace as it does to go 8:00 pace.

Had a nice quick visit from my SIL Ashley late last night through this morning.  She and her family are driving from their home in SLC to Dallas  to visit my other SIL Elisse.  They'll be coming back through Denver again next Thursday night on their way home.

Great job getting up early on a Saturday. I didn't have an early morning in me today.

I know I'll never be as speedy as you, but can I still wish that 7:30 or even 8:00 felt easy?

Nice run Nan! I love those mornings where your legs just glide! Fun to have a visit from family too!

Sounds like an awesome and good-feeling run! Sweet! I hope they keep coming!

You are so inspiring Nan! Way to keep at it! Hooray for a great run!

Question though - how are you figuring your mileage? I know the standard is to increase it by 10% a week, but you aren't the "standard"!

Toby-I usually feel pretty safe jumping back into 40-45 mpw of easy running. Its the speed work in combination with high mileage (55+mpw) that can start to be taxing on me. I'm just SO stoked to be feeling good that I feel great adding on the miles. I will only go up by 5 miles per week from here on out though. I think the 10% rule is a good rule of thumb in general.

Nice run, Nan. It looks like you're coming back with a vengance!
