Met Running Republic at East Boulder Community Park.  Arrived a few minutes early so I could get some dynamic stretching in. Cold 17 degrees, but once the sun came up...so BEAUTIFUL!!

20 minute warm-up, stretching, strides

4X30 second short hills/jog down recovery

4X3 minutes steady/90 seconds easy

4X90 seconds fast/60 seconds easy

4X30 seconds short hills/jog down recovery. Surprise! We got to do one more since one of our teammates didn't run all the way through the 4th one

Hamstring felt pretty good throughout the workout.  The finial 5X30 second short hills were the hardest because its accelerating that causes it to work.  Once I get set in my pace, hamstring just does its job.  So the 3 minute intervals were felt great because there was less stopping and starting.

10 minute cool down

Are you serious? You're adults and someone doesn't run all the way so they punish the lot of you? Ha!

I think Coach D had already planned on surprising us with one more, he just chose to "blame" it on Sarah. No one seemed to mind; we just laughed it off. Its good to be familiar with surprises in training 'cause it happens all the time in a race. (And I'm not talking about BMs). BTW, have you perfected the art of PAS (popping a squat) yet?

From Burt on Tue, Jan 26, 2010 at 18:21:20 from 206.19.214.144

I have never PAS in a run. I remember in HS when my BF needed to. He said, "Look around for some newspaper." I grabbed something from off the ground and asked, "Will this do?" It was a roll of TP.

Why are we using so many abbr.'s?

PAS. LOL. TTYL.

Great workout as usual, but I don't know about all this potty talk!

Carolyn, I just want you to take note that I did not initiate it.
