Did one last workout, aqua running in the pool.

20 minute warm-up, 4 "strides"

4X4 mintues hard (my heart rate up) w/ 1 minute easy between

2X2 minutes harder (my heart rate up higher)

10 minute cool down for a total of 60 minutes of pool-tastica

Waterproof iPod case (and the music it enabled) saved my sanity yet again.

Went into Boulder this afternoon for one last appointment with Dr. Tim (e-stim, laser, and deep tissue massage on the calves).  Also met up with Coach D to discuss race plan and other "stuff."  It was a really good meeting.  I'm getting

PUMPED!!!!!!!!!!

No pressure, and I'm sure others have told you this. But do you realize that a woman (Tera Moody) you beat in New Haven just ran a 2:30 marathon? Can't wait to see your results from Baltimore.

Come on, be honest, tell us how you really feel. Are you getting excited? Just a little bit? :)

Steve - that was cool to see Tera do a 2:30, as well as Zoila Gomez running 2:32 who was also behind Nan in New haven.

But Chicago is a flat course whereas Baltimore is pretty hilly...I wouldn't get your hopes up on a sub 2:30 at baltimore for Nan...not that I don't think she's capable of that...but the Course record is at 2:32 on that course and usually gets won around 2:35.

Nan will do amazing though I'm sure...and you never know until you go! She gets to hold down the fort solo as the only elite USA athlete in the field!

Aaron, yeah, I wasn't thinking about times for Nan as much as that she is right up there with some of America's best female marathoners.
